MusicMaster is a true Windows program; you can easily
copy and paste data out of MusicMaster and into other
applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. You
can even copy and paste your clipboard data, making it a breeze to import
all kinds of data from your Internet browser and more!
More Than Just Music
You can also use MusicMaster to schedule your jingles,
liners, promos, voice tracks, and even graphic crawls, pop-ups, and "bugs" for
television broadcasts. You can apply scheduling rules, look at play histories,
and even produce promo affidavits for billing. It's all built-in
to the system, so there's no need to buy additional software!
User Defined Database
The foundation of any good scheduling system is the database. It must
contain the information that is important to each individual user. Since
no two programmers are exactly alike, the one size fits all approach
doesn’t work. With MusicMaster we can build a database design specifically
for you. The information you enter on each song can be sorted, viewed and edited, and even tested in a variety of ways during the scheduling process.
This unique ability to custom build each database is why MusicMaster is more than just powerful software for radio. Television, Internet,
Satellite and in-store music providers are all using MusicMaster to meet
their needs.
Artist Separation Wizard
MusicMaster can automatically set up the ideal separation
for each of your artists based on your rotations of your categories and
the number of songs you play by each artist. The computer does all of
the math for you, and that makes it easy to get totally optimized artist
separation automatically!
MusicMaster‘s
Exclusive Optimum Goal Scheduling™
It’s a totally new concept that we invented. Instead of
picking the first song that happens to pass all your rules, this unique
new scheduling method actually tests all the available songs then figures
out which is the best one to play using a weighted scoring system.
The Rule Tree™ rocks!
This is what you use in MusicMaster to set up all your
scheduling rules. It’s all done on one screen and it’s all
drag-and-drop. Not only is it easy to use, but it can also do some amazing
things.
For example, you can apply the same rule two or more times with different
settings and priorities. The option to use Scaleable Rules™ is
what makes MusicMaster think about music the way you
do.
The Rule Tree™ turns the black-and-white, pass-or-fail rules of
the past into a rainbow of new possibilities. Here are just a few examples:
- Dayparting rules down to the quarter-hour.
- Making certain rules only apply to certain songs or song types.
- With every single rule, the individual attributes can each have unique
priorities. Now preventing two slow songs back to back can be a much
higher priority than two fast songs back to back.
- Rules can be relaxed over time for songs that are difficult to schedule.
You really can get better schedules with more rules, which means less
editing. MusicMaster even has a Rule Wizard that will
analyze all your rules and tell you exactly where you should make adjustments.
Auto-Platooning
Here’s another MusicMaster exclusive. Now you
can move songs in and out of rotation automatically, according to whatever
schedule you can imagine, to keep the music sounding fresh at all times.
You get total control over which songs get moved in and out. You can
even platoon different types of music at different speeds!
CD Ripper
Ever want to “hear” your music logs before they air? Or
how about hearing the potential transition before you place an element
in the log during editing? MusicMaster’s built
in audio player allows you to do so. Checking a song’s exact timing
or sound coding just got easier. There’s also a built-in CD ripper
if you want to import your own audio. It can even grab track info from
the Internet and pump it into MusicMaster for you
MusicMaster Enterprise
MusicMaster has an enterprise solution for those operations
that may want to share music from one master database, yet schedule independent
formats or streams individually. For example, a Country crossover song
could be added one time to the master database, then become available
in an AC or Top-40 database, in addition to the obvious Country format.
Scheduling databases are created for each format, and the same song can
then be sound coded differently in each. This capability saves time and
energy, as each song only needs to be added to the system once, but can
become available to multiple formats specifically designated to receive
it. The master database can be housed in a MusicMaster database,
or in an external database that already exists in your organization,
provided it uses a standard database platform, such as SQL Server or
Oracle. This is a popular option for companies interested in maintaining
a centralized database.
Virtual Breaks
Here’s the problem: You export logs to multiple automation systems
but need different break structures for each of those systems. Or, you
export the same log to multiple stations and each needs different break
text lines. It used to be that you had to maintain separate databases
for each automation system or make way too many clocks that were difficult
to maintain. Not any more! Now you can use the Virtual Breaks in MusicMaster. (More

MusicMaster RealTime
Some radio stations want to give their announcers the flexibility to
make music choices in real time based on personal choice; yet remain
within the confines of the format and established rules. This is a popular
option for stations such as AAA or Classical. Programmers can schedule
as much or as little of the log in advance. RealTime is installed in
the studio so the announcer can use it to browse through songs that are
available to schedule and play in open slots designated by the Program
Director. (Screen Tour)
WaveMaster Suite
WaveMaster is a simple audio player that can play your daily program
logs with overlapping audio for professional segues. The Air-Play system
automatically updates a custom template to automatically show which song
is playing on the air right now, and list recently played songs. Then,
this information is sent to your web page automatically.
Note: The WaveMaster Suite can be purchased separately.
