"One of my favorite features in MusicMaster for Windows is the Artist Separation Wizard. eD-FM has a huge variety of artists,
some with only a couple of songs, some with lots of titles. It would be very difficult to set an artist separation that would
allow a Genesis song every 4 hours but keep both Whitesnake songs from playing in the same day. Enter the Separation Wizard!
Just run it and it checks your library, clocks and rules and automatically sets the optimum separaration for each individual
artist - 6:25 for Genesis, 15:05 for Whitesnake. You could also use this on a current-based station weekly - when Garth has a
power it would recommend a 55 minute separation, as opposed to the 2:30 separation when all he has is 90s library material."

music with blinders on. Now, don't get me wrong, I could tap out

MusicMaster is a very incredible program that's been very easy for
me to use to program music for Power 106 and Movin' 93.9 (along with
the
two HD channels).
There are many features I love to use. On Power 106, we have three
different versions of each song that play on the air. The history
link feature helps a lot so I can see how the song rotates as one
song. Also love how, when looking at the daily history graph, how
the
quarter hours show when looking at each hour a record rotates. Also,
ask Mark about the "E-man" rule!

"The change to MusicMaster for Windows was a great one for our network. I originally tested the software before we signed up and straight away I knew it was a good move. After having done our music logs manually for many years, to be able to set up the rules in MusicMaster and let it do the bulk of the work for us was incredible. Even with very tight rule restrictions, only one or two manual edits per hour are necessary which has let up time to work on other aspects of our radio station's sound.
Another seemingly small perk with MusicMaster, is being able to see at a glance, what quarter hour each element has played in. Especially in breakfast rotations when your TSL is only 30-45 minutes, this makes placing high rotation songs a cinch. It's a small addition to the software which makes a HUGE difference.
